Get Buttoned Up – Life for any mommy (or daddy) having to balance work, kids and love is never easy. For many among us, the idea of organization is but a distant pipedream. But for those of you who do dream of a life of (im)perfect organization (because who wants perfection anyway!?), you could do a lot worse than taking some handy hints and top tips from the gurus at Buttoned Up.
Buttoned Up is a great company founded by four mothers, to help other parents organize their lives with tips and products designed to help you stay “buttoned up.” If you click on their ‘tools & giveaways’ button, you’ll find a whole host of goodies to help you stay organized, and there’s tons of hints and tips for any of life’s events, from moving house to general home life. Try it out by clicking here or on the pic below!
Routine Tap – Ever felt like you need a bit of help to reach those goals you set yourself at the beginning of the year? Do you really not have the time to learn that second language, or could you fit it in if your life was more organized?
Routine Tap – a free web application – helps you answer those questions; providing you with reports on your life, daily habits and routines, so you can see exactly how you’re spending your time. To get the best out of it, you need to set up a mini survey covering goals you want to achieve (losing weight for example), and then spend a couple of minutes each day answering a couple of questions to tell the clever Routine Tap computers about how you’re spending your time. It’s quick, easy to do and could potentially ‘enhance your life’! Click on the preview below, or here, to ‘track your habits’ today!
Nitro Type is a free, real-time, worldwide, online racing game that helps you improve your typing. It’s pretty simple: enter a race on the site; control a car against other real people from around the World; win the race by typing the fastest: as you increase the speed of your typing, you increase the speed of your car!
It’s a novel, fun way to track your ‘words-per-minute’ rate; and you also will notice yourself improving your touch typing speed over time, as you’re forced to read the rather complicated sentences the game gives you to type out. The only downside is that it really is quite tricky at times, but then I think that may have been down to my typing skills than the game being too hard! Still, it’s definitely fun and worth a quick try if you want to know your official typing speed! Click here or on the pic below to get racing…
For those of you who don’t know me (all of you!), my name’s Danny, and I’m a happy All My Faves employee. I’m also from Manchester, England. I actually graduated law school last year, and like the rest of the world’s population of university graduates, was staring down the barrel of a bleak year without any work!
Luckily for me, the delightful Roy and Shachar at All My Faves (yes, they are reading this…), invited me to come be a part of their ambitious project to turn the vast, confusing, inaccessible world of the internet into one visual page. One page where you can find the best websites for any category or interest. But also one page that contains hundreds of smaller, customizable homepages filled with specially selected sites made to satisfy your own specific niche interests for anything; from watching free TV online, to entrepreneurs, to the best music sites.
