SnapKnot offers just that, and with style. Choose your city and price range, and the SnapKnot experts will offer you a list of savvy, creative and experienced photographers and studios so you’ll have one less thing to worry about when the big day comes. Here are some of the photos that made me feel particularly romantic…

TakePart – There is a big difference between being concerned with a pressing issue and doing something about it. For some reason, it is the active participation that comes up short when dealing with a noble cause affecting us all. TakePart works hard at closing the thought-action gap by offering a unique and extremely engaging resource for Actions. According to their About page, TakePart is “an independent online community that connects its members directly to the issues that inspire them to engage, contribute and take action.”
Inspiring to act on TakePart is to put it mildly; the beautifully designed interface, the well-written and in-depth content and the compelling issues at hand (currently listing 14 different categories) all work together to get the community members to join in. You can choose to act in three main ways: take action, volunteer, or create your own action and invite others to give a hand. Come aboard and do something for the sake of a much needed improvement in the social, environmental or political spheres.
Zoofs – Twitter is a place where people like to bla bla about whatever is on their mind, comment about a news story or tweet about something that induced some kind of response. Following the same line of reason, a common activity on Twitter these days is tweeting about YouTube videos that made your day or that somehow had an impact on you. Zoofs has recognized this trend and simply delivers such tweets to you in one easy to use page.
Zoofs “orbits around the Twitter sphere, eating through piles of tweets everyday, in search for the most tweeted YouTube videos, and applies a weighing recipe to rank them based on their popularity.” I enjoyed Zoofs a lot and discovered a bunch of entertaining videos on the site. Thank you, Zoofs, for this wonderful service! I would also like to use this blog venue to thank all the Twitter and YouTube users for sharing and for making it happen. Below are my favorites. Enjoy!
Hard Rock Memorabilia – Forget about Elvis Presley’s sweaty T-shirt auction, or searching for Madonna’s famous pink girdle on eBay. The Hard Rock website offers a free glimpse into a fraction of its colossal memorabilia collection of Rock & Roll icons. Ever since Eric Clapton gave his guitar, the collection of obscure items of legendary artists has grown to a monster heap of over 70,000 items. Zoom in to the nitty-gritty details of each item and learn more about your favorite rock-n-roller.
You can explore the many items on display here by browsing the artist list (some of the names include The Beatles, Madonna, Elvis, The Rolling Stones and James Brown, to name a few), search by type, decade, genre, even geographic location. Here’s a small quiz for you: See if you can guess who the owner of those glasses is… Rock on!
Star Wars – JibJab – Create your very own Star Wars movie, featuring Hollywood’s hottest star -you! This fun website is a wonderful collaborated campaign of Jibjab and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, where users are invited to take an active part in celebrating this classic movie’s 30th anniversary in an original and funny homage. Engage!
Adverputt – My parents got me hooked on mini golf when I was a child, but over the years somehow it never stuck; I haven’t played it since I was 4 feet tall. Perhaps my long mini golf hiatus can explain why I enjoyed Adverputt so much. I had a terrific time playing the game, and was thrilled like a little boy every time I advanced to the next hole. To spice things up, each hole is sponsored by a different creative website, so in between holes I visited the various websites, and was happy to learn that Nexus Productions is an independent production company and animation studio. They have some really inspiring creative works under their belt you should check out.
Update: All My Faves is Hole #5
Turns out we are one of the sites that generated the most traffic to Adverputt, so they decided to add us as a sponsored website. Click on the updated screen shot below to play Adverputt with AllMyFaves featured at the 5th Hole!!
Graffiti – Create a new kind of graffiti art with each new level of this game. How does it work? You need to click on as many moving paint balls as possible to state your creative status. The first levels are easy and simple, but prepare yourself for some serious (and colorful) graffiti business! And just in case you’ve never heard of the splatter loving, legendary painter Jackson Pollack, learn more about him and his works here.

Choose your favorite genre out of a commendable list of categories, and then all you have to do is hit the play button of one of the stations displayed in your category.

In short, FilterMusic has done a great job at offering high quality music of different styles, all easily accessible on one easy to use page. Thumbs up!
Chocri – Everything is customized these days. We just love the idea of accentuating our individuality in a sea of people and information. I am all for it, actually. But when personalization enters the world of chocolate, that’s a whole different (and sweet) ballgame worth discussing.
Chocri is a German startup that has been operating for two years now, and this year they’ve branched to the US. High quality Belgian chocolate is their specialty, and they invite you to “customize your own chocolate bar here on our website. You get to choose a base chocolate (white, dark or milk chocolate), and then your favorites out of more than 100 toppings.” Do I really need to say anything more about it? Go ahead and help yourself!
Draw.to – Draw.to is truly a sweet website. It presents you with a small window to draw anything you wish, and you’re welcome to share your creation easily (no signup is required). I enjoyed it a lot, and created the two drawings below. By the way, can you guess which artist inspired me? The answer is here.
Another cool thing you can do with this service is forking: you can take an existing drawing and change it according to your desire. See below a drawing communication between two guys here at AMF that played with this service. Seems like they had a blast.
Ninite – A new computer is always exciting, at least for me it is. But installing software on a new computer can be quite a hassle. After you get your operating system up and running, installing all of your favorite applications is a major drawback to enjoying your brand new computer. I usually install the same 10-15 applications and gathering the latest versions and installing them takes me a couple of hours.
But this past Saturday, I decided that I am not going to waste my sunny weekend on endless installations, and searched for an alternative. That’s when I came across Ninite. This amazing installation magician presents you with a comprehensive and sleek checklist of free applications you can choose form. After you check the ones you want, hit download and start the installation. Ninite will download the latest version of the app and will install it completely. The best part is that they automatically check off all the unwanted toolbars you usually get from those applications. Instead of hours, it took me just 5 minutes! Ninite did all the rest. It is so easy even my cat, Chupi, can do it. Give it a try the next time you are installing software on your PC (Windows 7, Vista or XP only at this point).
