Huntr is a Kanban board for job applications.
I’d never heard of a Kanban board before coming across Huntr. I had, however, made multiple spreadsheets detailing the jobs that I’ve applied to, heard back from, interviewed at, been accepted at, or, as is often the case, not heard back from at all. It’s a tedious affair, and the common saying goes that applying for a job often becomes the equivalent a full-time job itself. Huntr makes the job search much easier. It accomplishes basically the exact same thing as a well-organized Google spreadsheet, but it does so in a much more visually pleasing and easy to use manner.
With Huntr, you can save many more details than you can on your own spreadsheet. You can keep the resume that you submitted, interview notes, and the original job description for the position that you applied for. This can come in handy, especially if you end up hearing back from a company weeks after originally applying. There’s also a Chrome extension that lets you automatically save jobs to your board as you come across them while navigating the web. Huntr is a super useful tool, as are Kanban boards in general. If you’re currently in the midst of a grueling job hunt, consider using Huntr to help organize all of your progress so far.
