ChickRx – Up until now, I would go to several sources for information on the different aspects of my life as a woman: I would visit WebMD or MayoClinic for gynecology, psychology and relationship blogs for mental balance and relationships, and various nutrition and fitness sites to keep fit.
Now, thanks to ChickRx, I can get all the info I’ve described above in one easy and fun to visit site. ChickRx offers solid articles and posts on gynecology and sex, fitness and nutrition, emotional health and relationships, dermatology, and general health. In addition, the site has other perks such as Heads Up (interesting facts and studies) and Chicks’ Picks, among others. One of the articles I enjoyed reading is Cool Guy Syndrome. Woulda Coulda Shoulda – About six years ago, a newly divorcée and single mom, who also happened to be a superb writer, decided to write a blog as a way to cope with it all. Today, Woulda Coulda Shoulda is Mir’s “way through it, laughing at myself as much as possible, trying to make sure that I end up with only the right regrets.”
Mir’s candid and engaging blog is all about great reads. I encourage you to read at the very least five different posts -you’ll thank me later. As an example, read Kettle, you’re so difficult, with which the dog owners among you will certainly happily identify.
Since I developed a particular admiration to Mir and her way of dealing with life’s curve balls, I’d like to point out she’s a full time freelancer. If you need the services of a seasoned writer, check out Mir’s professional blog.
Chicisimo – Claiming to be “a global community of girls sharing their personal style and inspiring each other,” Chicisimo is a wonderful resource I wish I had had available when I was in my teens. If you already have a facebook or Twitter account, signing up is easy -take advantage of this collective how-to style resource.
Tap into the sense of style and chic of young women all over the country, rate their looks and upload your own ‘workin’-it’ photo and get feedback from the Chicisimo community. Simplicity, straightforward style and sharing? Yes please! See a couple of photos I was inspired by and perhaps I’ll apply to my wardrobe this week on a night out with friends.
By the way, be sure to check out the Web’s best style resources on our Style mini page.

The Mother Huddle – Mommy tips and children raising 101 resources are quite common on the Web. They all mean well, but not all actually get you what you need, when you need it (by ‘you’ I’m referring to mothers of course). There are famous blogs and communities out there that do offer a helping hand, but if a girlfriend were to ask me to recommend a reliable and fun online helper on the subject, The Mother Huddle would be right up there. The two lovely authors Destri and Aubrey will make you feel right at home, offering hands-on and creative ideas and solutions for your home, family, and the challenging quirks of your little ones.
Another point worth mentioning is that the Mother Huddle was also a killer Weekly Blog on All My Faves, and that’s why it scored a Weekly Fave spot last week and a blog post this week. Great job, Destri and Aubrey! As for me, I really enjoyed reading Balance and Simplify (Bullet List).
