Svpply – Find and Share Your Taste of Art, Style & Home Decor

Svpply – Back in December I talked about a cool tagging site called Nuji, where users roam around the Web and tag things (can be fashion, interior design and more), share their finds with others and find inspirations from other users’ tagged items. Svpply offers the same overall service, with additional slight improvements. With Svpply you can filter ‘finds’ by selecting product category, gender and price.

Follow users who have the same taste as you do, and get you-centered product recommendation, plus the direct path to buying that dress, sofa or artwork. To start off, why not explore the site’s Editor’s picks?

Happy hunting.

Why All My Faves really is the easiest way to explore the web…

In today’s digital world, automation is for the most part a good thing, even great, since it means that less time and effort are required to achieve the desired result. But when it comes to Web navigation and content consumption (whether in text, video or other media form) at work, at home or anywhere else, automation in the name of productivity can be a deterrent.

Search fatigue is becoming a widespread downside to the world of online search, and SEO-savvy spammers and marketing freeloaders try to grab your attention on that very first results page, under the pretense of offering valid and useful content…

Yummly – The Smart and Time-Saving Way to Find Online Recipes

Yummly – When it comes to getting credible, right-on recipes, I usually go to Epicurious.com and the Food Network’s website. I am aware of the existence of many other sites that can be just as insightful and useful, but going to more than two sites for recipes seems like too much work. Thanks to Yummly, I only need to visit one site to get all the results for my requested recipe.

The screenshot above shows my search for a grilled salmon recipe, which resulted with numerous entries in various cooking sites, including my personal favorite epicurious.com. What I love about Yummly is that the site not only scans the web for relevant results, but also lets you refine your search by additional parameters such as taste preferences, allergies, diets, courses, cuisines, sources, holidays and related recipes, among others. All of the shown results are user-rated of course, so you don’t have to start guessing if this truly is a good recipe or not. This is a genuine cooking & recipes facilitator you should try out.

Decide – Make Your Next Electronics Buy a Smarter One

Decide – Don’t you just hate it when you buy say, a digital camera you have been craving for a while, and a week later you find out the price dropped by $50? Decide.com is here to help you make smarter purchases of electronics by letting you know if now’s a good time to buy that laptop, camera, game console or any other gadget you’re after.

Decide.com uses sophisticated prediction algorithms that make rational forecasts of price drops and new model releases to help you make smarter purchases that actually save you money. Decide.com also comes in a mobile version (not an app per se) so you can make better choices while in the electronics store.  Here’s a glimpse of what Decide.com looks like when searching for a Samsung digital camera (which I’ve been dying to get):

I’d better check out the new model first before making the purchase. How else would have I known about this? Thanks, Decide!

PhotoCollect – Different Photos from Different Cameras? Have Them All in One Place

PhotoCollect – The concept if this great photo collecting and sharing service is amazing: “Have you ever been on a trip with some friends and you want to gather everyone’s photos afterwards? Or been to a party and someone else got those awesome photos?” PhotoCollect lets you have all of those photos -whether taken by you or someone else at the same event- uploaded to one place where everyone can go to see them.

PhotoCollect currently offers its collecting services for free (up to three albums at a time, for personal use only), and if you wish to use the company’s photo upload and storage features there’s a price plan for you to check out (annual fee of $35 for premium).

Wunderlist – Not just another task management service, Wunderlist offers a powerful to-do and project list tool that has all the perks of today’s digital age. You can share your project notes and lists with whomever you want, have all the data stored in the cloud rather than on your computer, and Wunderlist’s mobile app (available for iPhone, iPad and Android), makes it possible to access, work on and manage all of your lists on the go. When it Drops – Stay on Top of New Releases. All of Them.

When it Drops – Where do you go to find out about the newest releases? Sure, there are great movie sites and blogs giving you the right heads up, even trailers, but what about the newest game or music releases? Instead of going to different places for each, When it Drops has all of these conveniently showcased in one pretty place.

As you can see, you can browse new releases of last week, this week, expected releases of next week and those to be released in two weeks time. The concept of When it Drops is so simple, and the site’s so beautifully designed that it would be silly to go anywhere else for finding what new cool movies, DVDs, music albums and video games are out. Each movie’s entry offers a link to its trailer and to buying tickets to see it at the cinema. Music and game entries offer direct store link to Amazon.

Here’s a sneak peak of the music albums that will be released on the week of July 11:

TuneIn – The All-In-One Online Radio Player and Music Discovery Tool

TuneIn – Everybody has a favorite radio station. Some of us like to listen to it while driving to or from work, others enjoy tuning in while at the office. Regardless of your favorite radio station, TuneIn offers better station finding and listening, whether online or on the go.

Aside from finding you the local radio stations by your physical location (via computer IP address), TuneIn introduces you to over 50,000 stations from all over the world, based on your chosen genre and favorite artists. I’m a huge blues and Muddy Waters fan, and here’s what TuneIn found me based on my music preferences:

The sound quality TuneIn offers is superb compared to the average radio station online, and the discovery aspect of this cool site is priceless. The TuneIn mobile app is a must-have if you like listening to radio, and you can use it while you’re driving, as long as you keep your two hands on the wheel -simply set your radio station’s play when you get into your car and you’re all set for the entire drive.

The TuneIn mobile app also invites you to follow favorite DJs and find new music based on favorite songs and artists. The best part about the app however, is the cross-device station preset option which means guaranteed good listening. The app is available for the iPhone, Android, Palm, Blackberry, Samsung Bada, Windows Phone, and for these home devices: Google TV, Yahoo TV, Roku and WDTV.

It turns out a lot of people are willing to do quite a bit for just $5, from personal greeting card creation to sending you hi-res photo of any text you want, just to name a few.
