I’m really a big fan of the idea behind Vayable There’s a lot of people in the World’s most popular tourist cities (London, NYC, SF etc) that need jobs. There’s a lot of tourists who want an authentic experience in those Cities. And Viable connects these people with eachother; providing tourists with interesting guided tours with “vouched for” guides listed on the site, and providing local residents with the opportunity to make some money as a tour guide!

Notewagon – One for the students here: A fully fledged marketplace for College notes for ANY subject! If you make great notes, and always thought you could probably make some cash out of them, now you can. And if you’re looking for a bit of help in your own studies, you can pay for the privilege of getting some great, ready-made notes.

Now I don’t know about you, but I’m definitely not the only average Joe who made a New Years’ Resolution this year, and doesn’t actually believe they’re going to keep it! Stickk knows guys and girls like us… and it loves us! It’s basically a helpful planner to help you stick to a commitment you’ve decided to make, whether it be to quit smoking, lose weight (or gain it), or even to give time volunteering.

The clever part however, is what comes after you select your commitment. You get support through a referee and support from friends, and then set the stakes for failing to meet your commitment. This can be anything from giving money to a friend or foe, a random charity, or even donating to a non-profit you hate… What better motivation to keep to your New Years Resolution than to know that you’ll have to give money to the George W. Fab.com – If you’re looking to help that design freak in you screaming to come out, you simply have to try Fab. Its ‘social shopping’ model has been described as the future of online shopping, and while its certainly not going to be replacing Amazon for general shopping any time soon, when it comes to design-conscious shoppers, many would say it already has!

Moving apartments can be one of the most painful, stressful things you can do, and that’s coming from my current personal experience! Most of my friends also sharing such experiences haven’t heard of ApartmentList, and even right now, are probably undertaking the thankless task of trawling through grainy pictures from shady profiles on Craigslist. But thanks to this All My Faves discovery, their apartment search is about to get a whole lot easier!

ApartmentList is the self-proclaimed “world’s first apartment matching engine”: a free service designed to help you find the perfect apartment by using Facebook integration to automatically personalize apartment recommendations, based on yours and your friends’ activities. It asks you questions to narrow down your type of lifestyle to the area and type of apartment you may want, and then sends you the recommendations from its huge database of over 1 million listings. This is one of the yummiest looking sites I’ve seen in a while. Hot on the heels of All My Faves’ Tastiest Food Site of the Year 2011, Punchfork, comes a potential nominee for 2012’s: PictureTheRecipe. It’s a blog-hybrid site, lovingly crafted by a lady called Noreen, who calls herself “the ultimate foodie”. And from the site’s positively mouthwatering homepage, featuring the latest visual recipes; “Food4Thought” – interesting articles about food; and some useful cooking tips, you can really tell that food is her passion. Arcade Fire’s Sprawl II – One of the songs from Arcade Fire’s amazing Grammy Award-winning album, The Suburbs, has now been turned into an interactive music video where us lucky viewers get to actually direct the content, using a webcam or mouse.

This iPhone app, fresh from its annointing as one of Apple’s Travel Apps of the Year 2011, is now our All My Faves Weekly App. Oink is a free app with a fun idea: to rate anything you discover around you that you like, and share those findings with your friends.

Words and Physics is quite surprisingly a neat game featuring words and physics. A truly original take on physics games played out over 18 levels. Solve the puzzles by deleting or typing physics commands. It’s a good coffee break puzzler, click here or the big picture to have a go.
