WordBrain is a puzzle-based word game.
WordBrain is one of the most frustrating mobile games I have ever played. The game seems simpler than it actually is. All you have to do is find words out of the jumble of letters that the app displays. The letters just have to be touching in order to be used consecutively to spell a word. When you begin playing, this is relatively easy. There are only four letters, and you slide your fingers around short words. As you progress, however, the grids of letters become bigger and it becomes increasingly harder to find words. Trust me, this gameĀ is much more difficult than it seems.
The hardest part of WordBrain is that not every word combination counts as a correct answer. WordBrain looks for two specific words, each of a different letter length. You could find other words hidden in the jumble of letters, but if it doesn’t match the word the app is looking for then you can’t advance to the next level. Also, sometimes the order of letters you swipe through can count against you as well. After you swipe through letters they disappear from the screen, and you might not be able to find the second word if you didn’t swipe in the right order the first time. If that sounds confusing, it’s because it is. WordBrain is simple and entertaining, yet extremely frustrating. It’s still worth a download.
