Future Learn offers free online courses from top universities and specialist organizations.
There’s an incredible wealth of educational resources online. If you want to learn something badly enough, you can probably find a course that will teach you. You have to put in the time and dedication yourself, but it’s never been easier for self-motivated individuals to get a great, free education. Future Learn is yet another online education directory, offering free courses from a diverse selection of academic partners. The site works with well-respected universities from around the globe, offering classes from the University of Bath, University of Cape Town, University of Liverpool and several other well-regarded institutions of higher education. The site is also owned by The Open University.
Taking a course online is different than sitting in a classroom, but Future Learn replicates the college learning experience as best as possible. Courses all start on a specified date, so you can register along with your group of fellow students rather then retroactively completing a class like some other sites offer. There are short (two to three weeks) as well as longer (~ten week) courses in all different types of subjects. There’s also a well-balanced mix of videos, audio, articles, comments and group discussion. There are tons of options when it comes to further educating yourself online, but Future Learn offers one of the best platforms to keep learning something new.
