Compare two photos of people to see how much they look alike on Twins or Not.
Twins or Not is a fun web app created by Microsoft. The point of the site is simple — you can compare two photos of different people and receive a score of how closely they look like each other. The site uses Bing’s image search, showcasing how its facial-recognition technology works. You can use the app to compare two photos of anything — two celebrities you think look similar, yourself and your siblings, or any two images that you want to test out. The site doesn’t offer much more than the comparison service, but that makes it easy to keep uploading as many pictures as you want. You can also contribute to Microsoft’s technology by giving them consent to use the results of your image search.
You can add pictures to Twins or Not by using the built-in Bing image search or by uploading your own pictures. If you opt for the former, it’s quick and easy to search through tons of photos featuring the faces of famous people. If you want to see how you stack up compared to someone else, you’ll probably have to take a photo using your computer’s camera and upload it manually. Since I have long hair at the moment, people have been making fun of me for looking like Justin Bieber. According to Twins or Not, however, Bieber and I are only 10% twins. Phew!
