Must See Places highlights the best destinations in cities around the globe.
Must See Places is a travel website that strips away all of the unnecessary information that you might find on sites like TripAdvisor or Lonely Planet. Rather than being bogged down with reviews, hotel and restaurant recommendations, Must See Places gets straight to the point. The site has a simple homepage, a search bar asking the question “Where are you going to?” Type in the name of your upcoming travel destination, and a list of results will quickly be returned. The site was built by the founders of travel app yapQ, and it uses a combination of that app’s data and selfies taken on Instagram in order to determine which destinations are displayed.
Many of the recommendations for things to visit on Must See Places are already well-known or touristic. The site does typically give a lengthy list of options (usually 20), however, so there’s always a good balance of other interesting things to check out. A search for Dublin, for instance, returns the more well-known O’Connell Street and Temple Bar as well as lesser-known things to see like the Father Pat Noise plaque. Every recommendation on Must See City is also accompanied by a short piece of text explaining its history or significance. The site is available in 12 different languages, so it’s truly an international platform for travel discovery.
