Move Idiot – Moving into a new place can be a pain. Let’s face it; after you’re done with phase 1 of the project (finding a place and signing the lease agreement), phase 2 is just as daunting. Getting your stuff together, packing it all in many (too many perhaps) cardboard boxes, transporting them and unpacking them in the new place is quite a hassle. This usually is the case for most of us, but it doesn’t have to be the actual scenario.
Move Idiot offers a step by step move-in helper, a “free Web-based service that makes it easy to manage and plan entire moves online.” Use this much needed tool to organize your things, track your boxes via major shipping carriers in real-time, and keep a close eye on how much you’re spending along the way. For the more skeptics among you, I would point out that Move Idiot has received a nice dose of media attention, including from Mashable, ReadWriteWeb, and LifeHacker, just to name a few. That’s enough validation in my book, and I will definitely use this service next time I’m moving out.
