Household Hackers – When I was a child and had a birthday, my mother (a scientist) would bring all kinds of liquids from the lab, and would use her chemistry know-how to put on the magician hat for us kids. She would combine mysterious white solutions together that resulted in a thrilling shiny red liquid. For a crowd of 3 year-olds, this was nothing short of astounding, and we clapped our hands like there was no tomorrow… I am sure my mom enjoyed playing the magician as much as we did, but let’s be honest; it’s not by any means science taken to the extreme.
On the other hand, Dylan, the guy behind Household Hackers, is a hardcore magician in my book, taking his scientific knowledge to the extreme. He has created a one-stop-place for numerous cool hacks, most of which can be performed using the everyday common supplies and tools found in every household (not this one). Want an example of a simple one? Start with the video below. All you need is a nail polish remover and a Styrofoam cup.
