There are a lot of tech geniuses in Silicon Valley, but it’s hard to know who they all are. The Techies project gives a little more insight into tech life.
Techies is a project of portraits designed to share the stories of tech employees in Silicon Valley. There are way to many professionals for everyone to be represented, so Techies features those who are underrepresented in tech land. Those include women, people of color, people over 50, LGBTQ, working parents, disabled individuals and many more. The two main goals of the Techie project is to show the outside world a more comprehensive picture of people who work in tech and to shed some light on those whose stories have never been hear, considered or celebrated. News that comes out of Silicon Valley tend to only represent big names and big companies, but Techie believes there are more stories to read than what we see on the news. Go to the heart of Silicon Valley with Techies.
