Finimize is a daily newsletter that delivers the world’s financial news in understandable, easy-to-digest form. It’s less high falutin than most financial news sources, attempting to be a reasonable voice for the modern generation. The stories are also informative, yet quick. At the beginning of each newsletter, there’s a button displaying the amount of time it should take you to read through. They highlight things like the important stock changes of the day, companies that have made gains or losses financially, and the general things happening in the financial world. The newsletter is essentially TheSkimm for finance, making it fun and easy to catch up on the day’s news.
Finimize, like TheSkimm, is free. The newsletter’s homepage claims that they’re working on “tools that will empower you to become your own financial advisor.” It’s unclear if the company plans to monetize their service at that stage, or what exactly those tools will be. Either way, they’ve taken a commendable start by offering the digestible financial news stories that they currently provide. You can sign up for free at Finimize’s website. You can also view a sample email there, if you’re skeptical. But you shouldn’t be skeptical. If you’re interested in staying abreast of the latest financial news, there’s no harm in signing up for Finimize.
