Yoogaia offers live, interactive online yoga classes that can be attended from the comfort of your own home.
Yoogaia is an online school offering interactive courses in yoga, pilates, core and kettle bell. Each of Yoogaia’s courses takes place online with other students in real time, but students can complete the courses from their own home (or wherever they may be, as long as it has an Internet connection). Students can choose to have their web cam turned on or off during each session, although enabling the camera does make it much easier to receive personalized feedback from the instructors. Only the instructor can see the students, so users don’t have to worry about other students watching if their web cam is turned on. This sets Yoogaia apart from the many video-based courses or instructional yoga videos that can be found online. It’s a hybrid between being in a yoga studio and practicing on your own at home.
Yoogaia does, however, archive each of its live classes so that students can watch or rematch at their own convenience. Because classes take place live, however, students can sign up in advance for a particular class time slot using the site’s calendar. There are tons of courses offered on a daily basis, in topics such as meditation, Ashtanga Yoga, pilates, and much more. The schedule also clearly states how long the course will last as well as the location of the studio in which the instructor is based. Teachers are located in Hong Kong, Finland, London, and elsewhere throughout the world. Although different types of classes take place at different times each day, users pay for Yoogaia with a flat fee that allows access to any and all of the courses. The subscription costs €10 for one week, €20 for one month, €70 for 4 months or €180 for one year.
