Blurring the lines between games and interactive art, Contre Jour welcomes you to a hauntingly beautiful world shaped by the interplay of light and darkness. Use your finger to morph the landscape, propelling the mysterious creature Petit to safety. Pull, swipe, and tap gadgets such as tendrils, air geysers, and pulleys to complete clever puzzles. Set to a poignant orchestrated soundtrack from composer David Ari Leon, Contre Jour both delights and bedevils from start to finish.
Some might compare Contre Jour to games such as Cut the Rope but with Contre Jour the user is exposed to a totally different gaming experience. Unlike Cut the Rope, with Contre Jour the user can easily connect with the protagonist of the game which is achieved with beautiful graphics, capturing soundtrack, and overall enjoyment of the game. From the get go I could tell the game was gonna be engaging, fun, but still challenging. Contre Jour is a perfect light game for anyone who has some extra time on their hands. But don’t take my word, go play yourself!
