Dash is an online teaching platform that offers courses in HTML, CSS and Javascript and gets aspiring coders building and designing things right away through unique projects.
A knowledge of programming languages is one of the most useful skills anyone can have. The job market for engineers and web designers is growing, and more and more of the world is incorporating computers into everyday life. Also, it’s just cool to be able to build and design stuff on computers. Dash helps you learn the skills necessary to do just that. The site teaches HTML, CSS and Javascript in a series of innovative online courses. It uses fun, engaging projects such as designing an info page for a marketing professional in order to teach coding languages with practical uses.
There are plenty of free sites that teach programming languages, but Dash is one of the best that I’ve used because it doesn’t assume that you already know complex math or anything else about coding. Every time the site teaches you something new, such as how to bold text in HTML, your newly acquired knowledge is logged in a tab called “skills” that you can go back and reference whenever you need a reminder. But even though Dash can be used by complete beginners, it’s unique in that it gets you designing things from the beginning. Within a few minutes of reading informative slides and typing code, you’ll have designed an entire HTML5 website. Even though the code you learn in the first few lessons is relatively simple, the web page you create still ends up looking good.
