The Mother Huddle – Mommy tips and children raising 101 resources are quite common on the Web. They all mean well, but not all actually get you what you need, when you need it (by ‘you’ I’m referring to mothers of course). There are famous blogs and communities out there that do offer a helping hand, but if a girlfriend were to ask me to recommend a reliable and fun online helper on the subject, The Mother Huddle would be right up there. The two lovely authors Destri and Aubrey will make you feel right at home, offering hands-on and creative ideas and solutions for your home, family, and the challenging quirks of your little ones.

Another point worth mentioning is that the Mother Huddle was also a killer Weekly Blog on All My Faves, and that’s why it scored a Weekly Fave spot last week and a blog post this week. Great job, Destri and Aubrey! As for me, I really enjoyed reading Balance and Simplify (Bullet List).

Pundit Kitchen – Yep, this is another LOL blog by Cheezburger. Pundit Kitchen is focused on funny annotations of politics-related photos, and no one is spared; President Obama, Former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, Russian President Putin and many other political figures (both US and international). Quite simple, isn’t it?

Cheestrings – This site is just loads of fun for users of all ages. The graphics are great, the music is even better and children can learn interesting things as they go and enjoy the ride! Mommies all over will sigh with relief after finding this terrific and totally safe entertainment site for kids.P.S.: When in China, watch for noodle bowls falling from the sky…

Launchball – Prove your own science skills in this addictive puzzle game and guide the ball to the exit by drag and dropping various elements on the right place!

Skyline Soccer – kick the ball from roof to roof in this display of skyscraper soccer skills. Perform dinks, lobs, huge passes and spectacular overhead volleys. You need to pass the ball to every player to complete the level.

Larry and the Gnomes – Larry, the chosen one by the King, needs to help defeat the Gnomes, who have recently turned evil. The Gnomes are causing havoc on the once peaceful town.

Mole vs. Lava – Play as a mining Mole trying to escape the hot & bubbling lava below. Jump this crazy mole as high as you can while unlocking all the power-ups and special platforms.

Penguin Escape – Penguin Chuck was taken to the tropical. But it s too hot there. Please help him get back home.

Fit It – Fit the desired number of objects in each level. You will encounter stars, boxes and even animals that will require your fitting abilities.

What if there was a cut-to-the-chase online guide for the Web’s best movies available for instant viewing? Well, there is such a thing: HelloMovies. This great movie listing guide will help you find out “what’s playing on Hulu, iTunes, Netflix and more. Narrow your choices. Watch movies.”

Choose your movies by streaming source (including both free and paid), genre, taste (offbeat, compelling, powerful, etc.), release year, awards, even language.
Once you’ve picked your desired movie, you will be redirected to a page offering the viewing provider option, reviews of other users, see the trailer and of course, cast in your own vote for or against the movie. That’s what I’m looking for in an entertainment service provider online: no nonsense, ‘show me the movie’ provider that gives me what I’m looking for without any middle meddling. Someone Once Told Me – Most of us remember at least one critical moment in our life when someone we know shared their life lesson with us. It could be a (totally true) cliché such as ‘good things come to those who wait’ or ‘life isn’t a bed of roses.’ But for others, it’s that seemingly innocent sentence they’re told that is actually so powerful and so true that the meaning’s impact on the person’s life is priceless and long lasting. Someone Once Told Me (SOTM) is a precious stage for visualizing those hard learned, hopeful and surprising lessons of life, taught through a single photographed sentence.

According to their About page, SOTM tries to “gather and chronicle some of the things that people have heard in their lives, the messages and expressions that have stuck in people’s head, for reasons both obvious and odd.” Updated on a daily basis with a new photograph of a person holding a piece of paper with the sentence someone had told them, SOTM is both innovative and inspirational. I drifted away in this intriguing site, and below are the two lessons + photographs I enjoyed the most. Important: some photographed messages include sexual connotations and content.

PopMatters – What is American pop culture minus the tabloids, celebrity paparazzi photos and reality TV? Not much (I’m kidding). Of course there is more to the US pop culture than that. If you’re interested in tapping into gossip-free cultural readings, PopMatters is your refuge. Updated daily from Monday through Friday, PopMatters offers top content in the form of interviews, essays and upscale reviews on “most cultural products and expressions in areas such as music, television, films, books, video games, sports, theatre, the visual arts, travel, and the Internet.”

It was extremely difficult to pick out just two favorites, but here they are:

Society6 – Simply put, Society6 is a place “where artists connect with unique opportunities, and sell their work as a variety of products. Anyone can join.”
Each entry is a big thumbnail image of an artist’s work (including graphic design, photography, etc.), and users are invited to ‘promote’ (giving the thumbs up) the works they were impressed by. All the creations displayed on Society6 are available for sale, and this is a great art initiative that’s making the most out of Web 2.0. You should also know that the artwork here includes amazing laptop, iPhone & iPod skins, and tee shirts. Click on the images below to see which art works I’m considering buying for my new apartment.

Lexus Dark Ride – This is yet another ‘special feature film’ used as an advertising medium by the auto industry, this time by luxury car company Lexus. Experience high doses of testosterone, speed and a sexy Lexus car with Grand Prix-like road performance. Using Facebook Connect makes users feel like they’re right then and there, playing out the Lexus adventure story. Buckle up and turn up the volume, because if roaring engines is what you’re after, look no further and enjoy the ride.

OverKill 9000 – Cheezburger has done it again. The blog offers funny as hell photos of excess in all its glory (or shame). Some photos are funny; others are just downright surprising and unbelievable. Cheezburger, will you ever run out of same-concept photo blogs? You’re lucky your blogs offer more humor and fun than predictability and superficiality.

Guyism – What are guys interested in? Cars, sports, women in lingerie, and living it up. Well, at least according to Guyism that’s what men are after. Sounds pretty accurate for the most part. Guyism is the Men Central for guys all over interested in top content and appealing visuals. If you’re looking for an in-depth coverage on the pressing issues of today’s men’s world, this isn’t the place for you. This is the superficial yet interesting, hardcore content provider of the stereotypical heterosexual male in America. Although I can’t say Guyism will be added to my RSS list, I did enjoy reading this article on 18 Celebrities Who Aged Horribly. Told you it was superficial, didn’t I?

Browse the site’s amazing design posts, and take your pick out of the various theme categories for multiple inspirations: Design-Aerobics, Competitions, Interviews, Art, Architecture, Design, News and Shop.
