Hubii – When searching the internet for news, people usually visit their regular news websites, which means they will always get the same point of view for any current event. Hubii tries to change that by letting you browse through a google-style map, and then click on the local news sites that are more relevant to the issue you’re interested in. It allows you to get the whole picture, and don’t worry, its in your own language.

DecaPost – American news coverage is notoriously divisive. We all know it. You either love Fox News and hate MSNBC or visa versa. And you probably just read the news online via the one source you like too. This may work fine for some, but there’s a growing number of online news consumers who aren’t particularly activist one way or another, and they just want to follow the top, trending news stories in a balanced way.

Frequency – There’s just so much interesting video content floating around the internet on any given moment, on any given day. And that means it’s really easy to miss a heck of a lot of good stuff! Stuff that gets posted on Facebook or Twitter by your friends or people you follow; stuff that gets posted on news websites (of which there are far too many to browse through in one go…); or just random, funny videos that get posted by random, funny people on Youtube.
And that’s where Frequency comes to the rescue.

Uproxx – Your first visit to Uproxx might be confusing. It took me a while to get the gist of this entertainment site. Essentially, Uproxx is the venue of cultural and entertainment news, or, as the site explains, “from exclusive entertainment news to original sports satire, UPROXX covers the biggest names and events in pop culture with humor and insight.”
Uproxx works in collaboration with other media venues such as Gamesqaud to cover news on gaming and technology, and Filmdrunk, to cover film news, among others. This website might come across as too fresh to some, but entertainment -real entertainment- has to get down and dirty sometimes, right? Here’s an interesting news update I found on Uproxx, A-List Time Travel: Celebrities Re-Imagines in Different Eras.
