Gazelle – This site truly offers a refreshing and rewarding solution for the old gadgets lying around in your house. Gazelle offers “a practical, rewarding way for people to finally rid themselves of all those old cell phones, digital cameras, and gaming systems that they no longer use, but can’t seem to find a way to let go of.”
The Gazelle service surpasses those of other electronics recycling programs because its green approach not only means they ensure your old gadget is put to reuse, but they also reward donors with hard cash! Saving the environment and getting paid for it? Yes, please.
Mpora – Claiming to be Europe’s largest action sports community and video platform, Mpora delivers big time. The beautifully designed site, along with the gigantic collection of posts, photos and videos, feels like an extreme sports Mecca. The Web 2.0 addition via user feeds on Mpora’s homepage make it truly a one-in-all action sports hub. See the video below of Silver Star Bike Park Ep. 2 to get a glimpse of Mpora’s action. I also suggest exploring the Popular on Mpora section for the best pics and videos this site has to offer.
The Bitten Word – A former Weekly Blog winner, The Bitten Word is Clay and Zach’s blogged account of their kitchen test drives of various recipes found in food magazines. Which magazines? Oh, only the best ones out there, such as Bon Appetit, Cook’s Illustrated, Food Network Magazine, Food and Wine, and many others. In addition, Zach and Clay throw in their own original recipes for you to try out. That is where I stumbled upon the mouth-watering Spicy Pork Loin with Watermelon-Rind Chutney. See The photo below and if you’re interested, click it for the recipe.

RestoreTheGulf.com – “Be the one to restore America’s Gulf” is what this petition by Women of the Storm organization is asking of you, and there’s no reason why you shouldn’t do your part. Founded in 2006, Women of the Storm is a non for profit organization established “in response to the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina, Women of the Storm is a diverse, non-political, nonpartisan group of women from the New Orleans area and across South Louisiana.”
Now focused on restoring America’s gulf environment from the blight caused by the BP oil spill, Women of the Storm has created the Be the One site to direct the US citizens power toward the American government so as to make the Gulf’s restoration an immediate reality. I’ve already signed the petition. What about you? See the video below for more information.
Sleep Talkin’ Man – I can definitely identify with sleep talking because I’m quite the subconscious chatter myself. I often wake myself up; It’s always funny and a little bit embarrassing at the same time. But it turns out there’s Sleep Talkin’ Man, the blog about Adam, the Web’s most famous sleep talker. Adam’s wife Karen wanted to share her husband’s hilarious midnight mumbling with her family and friends, so she started a blog. Soon enough Adam’s funny and senseless monologues spread all over the globe, and the couple quickly became a buzzing media item on TV, radio and printed media.
Click on the links below to hear some of the things Adam says while he’s fast asleep. Be advised that some recordings on this blog include curse words…
Lost in Val Sinestra – Another Facebook Connect movie creator, Lost in Val Sinestra is a scary movie with your Facebook friends as the cast. It’s beautifully done and it’s always cool to see your or your friends’ faces on the screen as part of a professionally made film. Enjoy.
Globs: Path of the Guru – Your aim is to attach as many same colored parts to each other as possible. Carefully plan your choice of color on the top to match the most prominent color of the Glob’s surrounding parts. Sounds complicated? It’s really easy and fun -simply start playing. PopScreen – Claiming to be a “video prediction engine,” this unique site seeks to offer users the most viral videos to-be and “the stories behind them.” PopScreen invites us to be the first among our friends to ‘discover’ the most buzzed videos out there (unrelated to Google Buzz, just hyped videos), and share them with our social networks.
The videos you’ll find here range from politics and science & tech to design, music, celebrities and loads more. Although it has yet to sweep a large user community, PopScreen is interesting in terms of its concept, and I am going to keep a close eye on its progress in the future. In the meantime, see the fascinating video below on Food: The Ultimate Secret Exposed I found on PopScreen.

Pintley – This wonderful sight is to beer as Pandora is to Music, learning your taste and recommending only beers you are bound to enjoy. As Pintley explains, it “learns from your ratings and tasting notes to understand exactly what pleases your palate the most, so you can be your own beer expert.”
Pintley is a first of its kind beverage recommendation tool, and at All My Faves we really loved not only the basic concept of the site, but also the presentation. Start rating the beers you already know and love, and gradually Pintley and the user community will suggest other beer brands you’re not familiar with, but will sure enjoy to have next time you go to a bar with friends. To learn more on how Pintley works, click here. See the video below for more information.
The Faster Times – Although the various long-established newspapers have done their best to adjust to today’s Twitter and Facebook’s lifestyles of users, it seems they’re not quite there yet. The Faster Times is a promising online news provider that leaves all the other big players in the dust.
Simply visiting the Faster Times homepage will show you just how innovative it is, and I certainly hope you will make this news site a favorite. See this interesting article I found on the Faster Times, and it’s just one of hundreds of other intriguing stories available on the site.
