Collectors Weekly offers information about rare items, with feature-length articles about antiques and even interviews with creators of vintage items.
Collectors Weekly is the online destination for collectors of antiques, vintage items and memorabilia. The organization of the site is broken down into six categories: Fashion, Design, Home, Culture, Machines, and Collectibles. Each of those categories can be further broken down into smaller categories. In the Design category for instance, there are options to filter by “Art Glass,” “Posters,” “Art Deco” and a variety of other choices. The site is not limited by one specific collector’s item or hobby, as a huge range of items are represented. Although you can not directly purchase items through Collector’s Weekly, the site is the best online publication for collectors and hobbyists to gain more information about various items.
Collectors Weekly also has a search feature that allows users to find whatever item they might be looking for. A search for “Jukeboxes,” for instance, quickly returned a lengthy article about the history of the jukebox and the different type of manufacturers that made them. There’s also a “most watched ebay auctions” section of the site, which hosts a comprehensive list of whatever item you’re looking for (in this case, vintage jukeboxes). Another cool feature is the “Show & Tell” section, where users can upload pictures of their own items while browsing those items owned by others. True to its newspaper/catalog-type format, Collectors Weekly is available as a weekly email, delivered straight to your inbox. If you’re a collector and want to stay on top of the collecting world’s trends and best values, I’d highly recommend subscribing.
