Must App is a list-making app for movie lovers.
I first discovered Must App through the app’s beautifully-designed Best of 2016 site, which highlighted the editors’ favorite films from last year in a variety of categories. The awards site intrigued me, but the actual app impressed me even more. I was skeptical at first, as there are already a ton of list-making apps out there for cinephiles. If you want to get recommendations for what to watch next, you probably already use one of them. But much like the Best of 2016 site, Must App succeeds most in its design. It’s well-made, intuitive to use, and much better looking than any other movie site out there.
Must App also adds a social component that is a promising feature of the app. You can follow friends, checking out movies they’ve seen or want to see in the future. Obviously, this element of the app requires that users actually become engaged with using it on a regular basis. But even if you sign up and don’t have any friends using the app, it’s still fun to browse the app. You can rate movies you’ve already seen, search for movies you’d like to see in the future, and organize all of your film wants and desires. Must App also notifies you about trailers and other movie news, so you can always stay on top of things in the cinema world.
