TakePart – There is a big difference between being concerned with a pressing issue and doing something about it. For some reason, it is the active participation that comes up short when dealing with a noble cause affecting us all. TakePart works hard at closing the thought-action gap by offering a unique and extremely engaging resource for Actions. According to their About page, TakePart is “an independent online community that connects its members directly to the issues that inspire them to engage, contribute and take action.”
Inspiring to act on TakePart is to put it mildly; the beautifully designed interface, the well-written and in-depth content and the compelling issues at hand (currently listing 14 different categories) all work together to get the community members to join in. You can choose to act in three main ways: take action, volunteer, or create your own action and invite others to give a hand. Come aboard and do something for the sake of a much needed improvement in the social, environmental or political spheres.
