Rally Point is a social network designed for active service members and veterans of the U.S. military. 
Similar to job-finding sites like LinkedIn, Rally Point was built to help its members find employment opportunities both within the military and in the private sector. The site works directly with companies that value military experience. It’s a way to build or expand your professional military network, connect with those stationed around the world, and explore new careers. For servicemen and women that have questions about transferring to a new location or career within the military or transitioning to civilian life, Rally Point is an invaluable resource. There’s an active community of members willing and able to assist in any capacity.
Especially given the bureaucratic and often ineffective programs the VA has in place for returning veterans, Rally Point is a much needed resource to aid service members in the difficult transition back to civilian life. 
It’s also a way for veterans to stay in touch with each other, which provides another level of comfort once everyone’s returned to their respective home lives. Maintaining that sense of community is important, and Rally Point has successfully created a digital platform that makes it easy to connect and continue communicating. Member profiles follow the typical social network format, with added accomplishments listed based on each user’s military experience. It’s encouraging to see such a positive community growing out of the site that Rally Point has built, and hopefully the platform will be a small step towards bettering employment opportunities for military members and veterans.
