Quake Live – Quake Live is a new and innovative multiplayer game experience from id Software (the creators of DOOM and QUAKE). Quake Live offers game players of all skill levels a totally free and easily accessible multiplayer game and community through a single website. What so special about that? If you are not that into games then this might not tell you much, but for gamers playing a high quality multiplayer game online this is a huge thing, almost a revolution. Until recently, high quality multiplayer games were possible via consoles or computer-based games only. According to FreeMMOGamer, Quake Live managed to retain the quality of its previous offline version. BTW: QUAKE is a shoot’em game and if you’re wondering about costs then you’ll be thrilled to know that it’s 100% free! It’s funded by in-game advertising. I hope this is but one of many games that will use the same business model and offer users free access from any computer. Let the game begin!
