Funny Or Die Weather is an app that couples real weather reports with jokes from the Funny Or Die team.
Funny or Die is the comedy website founded by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. For years, their site has hosted a mix of original and user-submitted video content. They’re a popular site, but not exactly the people you’d expect to be reporting the weather. The Funny Or Die Weather app proves that they’re just as skilled as meteorology as they are comedy. The app, which is available as a free download in the iOS App Store, delivers real weather reports for the specific cities of your choice. In addition to the weather, it also offers a humorous “Weather Fact of the Day.” Examples include: “No one knows what a barometer is” and “Showers have 3 temperatures: 1) Too hot. 2) Too cold. 3) Never leaving, gonna move here & start a family.”
In terms of its weather-reporting capabilities, the Funny or Die Weather app actually provides many insights that the built-in iOS app does not. For instance, the app reports pressure, visibility, UV index, sunrise, sunset, moon, humidity, wind speed, the “feels like” temperature, and high and low tide. Similar to the iOS app, you can add multiple cities and compare the weather side-by-side. There’s really no reason to ditch your weather app of choice to use this one, but it is nice to inject a bit of humor into your life while checking the weather. Especially if you live somewhere where miserable conditions are the norm. Maybe the jokes can help you get through another seemingly endless winter.
