Earth Hour – Earth Hour – Saturday, March 28th marked the day of Earth Hour, a global initiative to raise environmental awareness, and to encourage all humans to do something about it. How did they do it? Simple. Participating countries, cities and residents made their impact by switching off their lights as a vote for Earth, or leaving them on as a vote for global warming. Taking action on such a colossal scale was never so easy and compelling. Sponsored by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), this global collaboration action made a clear and powerful statement on March 28th, 8:30 local time (regardless of geographic location); almost 4000 cities across 88 countries visibly showed their growing concern over climate change by turning off their lights for one hour. One burning question for you guys: What were you doing last Saturday, when it was time to cast the votes??
