Designed To Move: Educating Today for a Healthier Tomorrow

At All My Faves our job is to show you the best of the web. This includes everything from the funniest sites with cute animals and time-saving apps useful for work. But we also like to introduce you to sites we feel are important and are doing something for the greater good of the world. Designed to Move is a campaign educating us about the harmful effects of little physical activity and how we can change it.

Get Educated and Make A Difference

Designed to Move has educational resources to learn more about the harmful effects of physical inactivity. They provide an overview followed by costs and consequences, a graph showing countries such as the US, UK, China, and Brazil and how they were standing in 2008 compared to the 1960s and if the trend continues, what the forecasts for 2030 are. Designed to Move believes “Physical activity does more than create good health. It contributes to leadership, productivity, and innovation.”

After providing all of the information their hope is for you to make a change. Whether it’s making sure your children have physical activity consistently in their lives, share their message, or even supporting programs around the world. From soccer in Africa and playing sports in China, to a collaborative take on activity with technology in Miami and local football teams playing with kids in the UK, you can support these causes and even donate. Overall the site is not just full of information, but it is presented in a stimulating way. Take a look through the various charts, and you’re looking at not so average numbers and pictures.

With the freshness of a new year in front of us, now is the time to make a change. Whether it’s for your own kids, yourself, or impacting kids across the world, you and everyone around you is Designed To Move, so let’s make it happen. Check out their video below.
