12Seconds – Today my girlfriend asked me “what is the whole story behind twitter anyway?” Apparently the recent media hype about Ashton Kutcher vs CNN on twitter was her question’s trigger. I explained that twitter is pretty much about micro-blogging your life and providing frequent status updates. Now that my better half knows what’s the deal with twitter, perhaps this will prompt her to open her own account… Either way, twitter has made huge leaps in the last couple of years and has become mainstream. 12Seconds on the other hand is not quite there yet but it definitely has the potential of becoming as prevalent as twitter is in the future.
So what is 12Seconds? It’s a great place for online video status updates. Think of it as a visual form of twitter-like micro-blogging. It’s super easy to use and share around, so you’re welcome to join in and inform friends and family of what you’re doing at any given moment by using short video clips. You can use your web cam or mobile phone for the video input. Show your friends where you are, share your thoughts or personal anecdotes, or tell them how you’re doing. This video status platform will help you stay up to date with your friends, 12 seconds at a time. Why only 12 seconds? Because anything longer is boring. Enjoy sharing your life!
