Anchorage, a city located in the northernmost State of Alaska offers impressive landscapes as well as many activities in this winter wonderland. Our personal favorite activity to attend is the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race. It is the longest sled dog race in the world clocking in at 1150 miles long. As well as the Iditarod, one can look up at night for entertainment. The northern lights, or aurora borealis dance across the night sky during solar storms in awe-inspiring waves of green and purple. Take a look here.
