Adventure.com is a platform that allows people to read, write and share stories about adventures of all types.
Adventure.com is a place for all those that enjoy adventure, whether that means going camping nearby for the weekend or traveling to an unfamiliar destination. The site is primarily designed to be used by individuals that want to actually book travel, although there’s also tons of great written content hosted on the platform. The way the site publishes its stories is via a platform similar to Medium, with an emphasis on images, format and other visual components. Most are written from the first-person point of view about the author’s own adventure, such as Mark Beaumont’s “Rowing The Arctic,” about a rowing team’s journey to the North Magnetic Pole. There are several other stories about locations all around the globe.
There is a similarly diverse selection of destination tours that are available for booking through Adventure. The trips, each of which is accompanied with a set price and a specific itinerary, are organized by type. You can sort results depending on whether you want to “Climb a Mountain,” “Meet Different Cultures,” “See Wild Animals,” and a few other options. There’s also the ability to build custom trips personalized to your own tastes, which are created with the assistance of Adventure’s international team. Prices for trips are expensive, but relatively affordable considering the places the money gets you. A trip called “Unforgettable India,” for instance, costs $1,285 for 15 days of a unique travel experience. The actual booking process takes place via third-party sites, often Intrepid Travel. For anyone considering embarking on some sort of trip in the future, Adventure is certainly a great place to make that idea a reality — or at least to get inspiration.
