HERE is Nokia’s new and exciting way to explore the world. This innovative Google Maps competitor makes virtual sightseeing a completely different experience, with amazing 3D maps of various sites, now available on your PC, tablet or mobile.
Here by Nokia is a raising star that managed to do what many considered impossible: they made the guys from Google Maps sweat.
When Nokia came up with Here they wanted to develop a new genre of mapping site, so they added an awesome 3D optional map for the major sites aside from the satellite and terrain ones. You can even see real time traffic including construction, accidents, and major events that may cause a backup, the public transportation roots, the weather and more…
When I chose New York I was able to see an aerial view and go all the way around Manhattan. I could even specify my location such as the Empire State Building, Central Park and more, all in a spectacular 3D map.
Here really does take it to the next level, you can go shopping in Paris, discover the stores and even access their websites. Interested in the finest dining in San Francisco? Click the little fork and knife icon to discover the restaurants around the city, Here also allows you to browse through interesting attractions and even shows you the places you should go out to when evening comes.
All that can be accomplished now with one click of the mouse or the tip of your finger on your smart phone. Once registered you can ‘collect’ sites so that you will be able to find them quickly. If you’re like me and can’t afford to travel the world this vacation, just hop on HERE for a few minutes (or hours) and explore what the world has to offer.
