Facebook Stories – People Using Facebook in Extraordinary Ways

Posted on Wednesday, October 24th, 2012 by

See, not everybody uses Facebook to share pictures of their breakfast… Facebook Stories is a site dedicated to sharing the extraordinary, quirky and thought-provoking stories and ideas from Facebook’s community.

The absolute best of social networks?

Facebook Stories is a Facebook’s tribute to its most interesting users. It’s basically an admittedly awesome project by the big guys themselves, made to brag about their amazing, world changing product and its achievements.

On Facebook Stories you will find recent Facebook info, tips and advices, interviews with people you would like to here, cool infographics and most importantly, amazing stories of ordinary people who had very extraordinary stories revolving their Facebook accounts.

When social networks were conceived by people in dark underground labs, they had an ideal in mind; to take the internet and turn it into a social instrument. The social thing is not just about ‘liking’ someone’s cute cat picture, it’s really about being there for people when they need you to.

Fun and inspiring!

Here are some examples of what you may find on Facebook Stories: Carly Rae Jepsen joins Facebook Live to share her first-hand experience of what happens when her song “Call Me Maybe” went viral, Daniel Cui’s story of how as a  freshman goalie  he became the scapegoat for a losing season, and the whole high school rallied to defend him via Facebook, about Brian Sidlauskas, an Oregon State University ichthyologist who led a research expedition into the little-known Cuyuni River region of Guyana and utilized his Facebook account so that his colleague could help him identify new species, an amazing interactive Infographic that shows geographic related Facebook accounts and more. Give it a try, you will have a blast and be inspired.
