OneHope is a website offering a variety of wines and coffees that, when purchased, half of the proceeds are donated to one of many social causes.
OneHope is a company dedicated to linking the sale of its products with social impact. The company’s most well-known product is its wine, and half of all proceeds towards wine products are donated to various charities. Thus far, the company has raised over $1 million for numerous nonprofit organizations that benefit a variety of causes, including breast cancer prevention and treatment, pediatric AIDS prevention, US forest preservation and ending childhood hunger. Although half of the money is donated to nonprofit organizations, the wine on OneHope is still affordable enough that it’s easily purchasable, even for the casual wine drinker. The wine costs anywhere from $10 to $200, depending on the bottle.
OneHope’s wine selection is strong and diverse, offering various types of red and white wines from a span of years and locations, although all of OneHope’s wines are made somewhere in California. You can also filter your wine selection by “associated cause,” so that you can be sure half of your proceeds are directed to the charity or nonprofit organization of your choice. OneHope also offers a “Social Impact Coffee” portion of their website, which does for coffee what their main site does for wine. Each month, OneHope fresh-roasts and delivers batches of whole bean coffee that corresponds with a particular nonprofit organization. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or a coffee addict, when you make your purchases through OneHope you can do something good while doing it, too.
