Alarmy ensures an easy start to the day by forcing you out of bed.
Do you hit the snooze button? More than once? More than twice? As many times as you can until you absolutely positively have to get out of bed? Then you may need Alarmy, an innovative alarm clock app that forces you to get out of bed in a timely fashion. The app, which is available on both iOS and Android, has a few different methods of making sure that you’re actually getting up and out of bed rather than just pressing a button to say you are. Alarmy works by making you do difficult tasks, like moving to a different room and taking a picture, shaking your phone, or solving a math problem.
Depending on your settings, Alarmy will refuse to stop going off until you’ve accomplished one of those three goals. If you opt to take a picture of another area in your house, you set the app by taking a picture of a specific location. When the alarm goes off, you have to physically move there and take another picture before it turns off. The shake mode requires you shake your phone for a predetermined amount of time, and the “solve a math problem” option actually makes you solve a math problem first thing in the morning (the degree of difficulty, thankfully, can be changed). There have been numerous alarm clock apps released for mobile in recent years, but none are as challenging or effective as Alarmy.
