Adventure Rider contains forums, galleries, trip reports and wisdom for adventure bike enthusiasts.
ADVrider should be a bookmarked destination for anyone that enjoys riding adventure bikes throughout the world, as it consists of a global community of likeminded individuals. The site is split into two simple sections — one that contains forums, and one that contains photos. The photo gallery includes stunning pictures taken by adventure bike riders around the globe. There are pictures of riders in many exotic locations, and all of the photographs are available for sale directly through the site. Each photograph can also be rated and discussed in the comment section beneath the picture.
The forums section of Adventure Rider is broken into four sections: “Riding,” “Bikes,” “Gear,” and “Fluff.” Beneath each of those headings, there is a variety of topics that have been started by members of the ADVrider community. There are discussions about “ride reports,” “trip planning,” and “racing.” There is also a section called “Face Plant,” in which users discuss their nastiest falls and other dangers of being a rider. Overall, the ADVrider site is extremely simplistic, but it benefits from that design. It’s a comprehensive forum and discussion board for hardcore adventure bike riders, and it should be used by anyone that enjoys getting on a two-wheeled vehicle and exploring the world.
