Tape.ly is a platform for uploading, sharing and streaming mixtapes online.
Tape.ly offers a way to create and share unique digital mixtapes. The site utilizes a simple interface that also allows room for customization. Users can upload tracks for a particular playlist on Tape.ly, then design the page on which that playlist is hosted. The background, colors, fonts and layout can all be customized, in addition to the cover image for the tape. Each mixtape also generates its own link, so it’s easy to share the tapes across other platforms. The site also integrates with social media platforms in order to make sharing easier.
In addition to the ability to upload your own tapes, Tape.ly also has thousands of mixtapes hosted on the site. Although the tape directory is large, it’s easy to find the type of music you’re looking for as you can filter through the tapes by genre and other tags. Because tapes can be created by anyone and for any type of audience, the playlists that can be found on Tape.ly tend to be stranger or more unique than what you’d typically find on a playlist site. All of the tracks are fully streamable across all device, as well. The site offers an exciting new way to share music and mixes online, and hopefully artists will also begin to recognize its potential and start sharing their own tapes.
