Muzooka is a social music platform that connects artists, listeners and producers in harmony.
Muzooka is a social network for musicians. This concept has been tried before, but Muzooka is the first to truly show promise at connecting artists, producers and fans under one platform. On the artist side, bands can upload their songs to Muzooka to stream or to purchase, and they keep 100% of all transactions that go through. Fans can take advantage of the opportunity to discover new artists, voting on the best tracks in order to increase the exposure of those songs. Producers also use the site to connect with artists for potential future work, and include notable individuals like Rusko and Babyface, among several others.
Some fans might be deterred by the lack of big-name artists on Muzooka, but its browsing a group of talented, as-yet-undiscovered musicians that makes the experience so exciting. The ability to vote for your favorite tracks is also a simple function (akin to the “like” button on Facebook), but it could have a profound effect on the artist(s) you’re supporting. For Muzooka to truly be successful, the pool of fans and artists will have to grow. As of now, there’s still a great deal of talent that can be discovered using the site, and fans and bands of all genres should take advantage of the opportunity to use the platform to further their connection with the craft.
