Lego Cuusoo is the official site for Lego fans to create the chance to have their own ideas become official Lego products!
Legos have always been about using the provided tools to create something unique. Lego Cuusoo uses the power of technology to take that a step further. Lego enthusiasts can use the site to create an innovative Lego project, and share that product concept with the world. Users can then choose whether to support the product or not. If a project receives 10,000 supporters, it captures the attention of Lego’s corporate offices, which review the user-submitted ideas quarterly and choose the best options to become official company products. The Lego idea you’ve always had could become a reality by using Lego Cuusoo!
If your Lego project is, indeed, chosen for production, you’re given complete credit for the idea. The incentive to create something awesome doesn’t stop there — you’re also given 1% of the total net sales of your product if it sells successfully. Since creating the Lego Cuusoo site, the company has already created several user-submitted items. The winner of the 2013 fall review, for instance, was a Ghostbusters 30 year anniversary set. One individual had the idea, over 10,000 people agreed it was a good one, and now the product is available on store shelves. If you don’t have any Lego ideas but enjoy using the product, it’s also fun to browse the ideas currently hosted on Lego Cuuso’s site. One of the most supported projects currently hosted on the site is a cool “Labryinth Marble Maze,” designed completely out of Legos. There are tons of other cool examples on the site, so Lego fans should head over and check it out immediately.
