At Work4Rich you compete with the online community in a series of dizzying tests to see who will be advertising mogul Rich Silverstein’s new assistant. At once an application and a publicity stunt, Work4Rich is a clever use of branding and social media. Does Rich really need a new assistant? That’s hard to say. But give it all you’ve got and see what happens. After arranging colored pencils and deciding which noise sounds more “explosion-y,” you will make your elevator pitch to Rich on Twitter. Some of the tasks were reminiscent of “The Impossible Quiz”. While completing the test I felt a little like Charlie in Willy Wonka’s tour; I made it through arbitrary trials of elimination with an eccentric telling me the elevator actually goes sideways.
