Takeover is our latest game of the week – an online, medieval fantasy strategy game. Build infrastructures for your army and banish the armies of your eternal enemies… Do you have what it takes to ‘Takeover’ the lands?
I’m going to kick off this review by saying, categorically, that Takeover is an amazing online strategy game! You start each level with a small castle, you have to create fighting unites, build supporting buildings such as gold mines, homes for your troops and shrines for mane.
Then the game-play kicks in, you have to do everything fast because the enemy doesn’t wait for you to settle in… You must decide what your priorities are: going on a treasure hunt, building settlements or straight out building fighting unites for an all out attack before your enemy gets ahead of you.
Takeover is a throwback for all of us nostalgia lovers to the great Warcraft game in its original version before online gaming began. You choose a race to play with (from a choice of 3). Each has a vendetta towards each other, and sets the tone for your quest towards world domination.
For centuries the Rivadis Empire ruled the continent in its shine and glory. But now it fell into necromancers’ hands and dying. Time for Takeover has come! So pick a race and start the fortifying, upgrading and researching to make it the most evolved civilization that is worthy of ruling the world!
