Made is a game created by American eyewear company Ray-Ban.
Ray Ban has created a game called Made as part of its new promotional campaign. The game is difficult to load and also requires that you connect with your Facebook, two things that might deter potential players. Once you’ve passed those obstacles, however, the game is a great mix of design and playability. Users can customize their own characters using either their Facebook profile picture or a different image taken via webcam. There’s a loose story line about throwing a party involved, but the main purpose of the game is to jump up and down from platform to platform as you progress throughout the levels.
The arrow keys are essentially the only controls necessary to cause your character to jump, duck and avoid the many obstacles littered throughout each level. The coolest part of Made is how it integrates with your Facebook aside from just creating your initial character using your profile picture. Along the way of each level, you “rescue,” friends pulled directly from your Facebook list. The game even displays the names of the people that you’re “rescuing” (in case you need a reminder to get back in touch with any of your Facebook “friends”). Overall, the game is well-designed and an entertaining promotional campaign from Ray Ban.
