Keep On Riding is an interactive, animated game created by Michelin.
Keep On Riding is a game created by the tire brand Michelin. The game features fairly complex animation, and it features a character that rides on a motorbike as he attempts to escape some strange creature. Along the way, you’re challenged with various tasks that help you gain points and distance yourself from the monsters. At first, these challenges are as easy as swiping your mouse along a certain path, which the character then rides along. The tasks quickly become more difficult, as you’re forced to keep your mouse steady as you trace it in a circle on your screen as many times as you can within an allotted time period. If your mouse drifts outside the circle, you quickly lose points. In between each of these tasks, a short animated scene plays out.
While Keep On Riding is sort of a hybrid between a short animated film and an actual game, the tasks it has you complete definitely are fun and it’s enjoyable to watch the story play in between those tasks. I’d imagine the game would be more suitable for younger players, although navigating your mouse through various obstacles within short time periods does get more and more difficult as the game goes on. When you successfully steer “clear of all the dangers,” there’s the ability to download some screenshots of the game as well as some additional information about Michelin and motorcycle news. From a marketing perspective, Keep On Riding is well-designed. From a user’s perspective, it’s not the most fun game to play, but it is a cool experience that you likely wont find anywhere else on the web.
