Geoguessr is an online interactive geography trivia game using Google street view. It’s a fun, easy, and fast game to play, and is perfect for everyone. This game is truly one of a kind and shows us the true value of Google street view.
That’s what Geoguessr wants you to guess, well at least try to determine where in the world you are in respect to the street view provided. Basically, the game lasts 5 rounds. In each round you are placed in a different part of the globe, virtually anywhere. Australia, Africa, America, Asia, Europe, you can be placed anywhere. That’s what’s so fun about it, you have no clue where you’re going to end up, but you have to guess where you are. Use whatever clues you can find.
Playing ‘Detective’ Is Fun!So as I was playing Geoguessr, I found it super fun to play some sort detecting. Since it was so difficult to guess where you are from a street view, I tried to use any and every clue I found to my advantage. Things like signs, famous landmarks, type of cars, and even what side of the road people drive on all helped me give me a better idea of where I was. Warning, it’s really addicting guessing where you are. The best part is that Geoguessr shows you down to the kilometer how far you were from the correct place. That’s what I enjoyed the most, was at the end of the game when it shows you a map of how far you were from each place, it puts everything in perspective.
