PlayBuzz offers quizzes and other interactive content, as well as the ability to create and share your own.
PlayBuzz looks familiar, in both design and content (and name), to Buzzfeed. Yet instead of offering endless lists of .gifs, PlayBuzz offers something more engaging: quizzes. You’ve probably seen the results of various Buzzfeed quizzes plastered by friends around your social media networks, but PlayBuzz’s quizzes go beyond the overused personality quizzes on that site. There are quizzes with titles like “What Flavor is your personality?” but there are also quizzes like “Can You Match The Butt Chin To Its Celebrity Owner?” It’s not the most productive way to spend your time, but there’s tons of great content on PlayBuzz to keep any distracted individual engaged.
PlayBuzz organizes its quizzes, lists and polls — which it calls gameticles — into four separate sections: Pop, Fun, Geek and Community. Each of those categories is split into further subcategories, with options for music, movies and TV under Pop, for instance, and tech and games under Geek. The Community section of the site is perhaps the most interesting, because it offers gameticles created by the PlayBuzz community. Anyone can easily create a poll, list, personality or “definitive answer” quiz using PlayBuzz’s platform and tools. It’s also easy to embed the gameticles on third-party sites. This keeps the content exciting and ensures that it’s constantly updated and refreshed.
