Their first concept was straightforward and popular: Fill in the blank after “How About We…” and suggest a fun date idea. If the idea appeals to someone else in your area, they’ll join you. Like Tinder, this site is geographically targeted, but perhaps less superficial because the suggested date says a lot about the person. For example, “how about we…check out how our favorite animals are keeping cool at the zoo” might interest an animal lover (hey, there). Their newest feature is targeted at people who are already attached. They created a membership service that sends new and creative date ideas to help spice up an existing relationship. The same movie/dinner date can get old, and some of their suggestions include culinary classes, fencing lessons, and drawing classes. For the monthly membership fee, you get one free date, and additional creative dates at a reduced price. Couples can browse by collection to find the perfect date for the type of couple they are, which include improving a skill set, tours, and dates for under $25. It’s like Groupon, but tailored for couples.

How About We proves just that by delivering dozens of fresh date ideas to couples, that are sure to make things more interesting. These dates range from the more unconventional, such as archery lessons, to more traditional experiences, like wine tastings. Their goal is to take couples out of a rut and out of their comfort zone to improve their relationship and experience new adventures together. Couples can even sign up for their concierge service that plans personalized dates.Simply tell them what you’re looking to do as a couple and they send a few customized dates your way. You then choose your favorite one and they take care of all the details so all you have to do is enjoy yourselves. So it’s not just a date—it’s a date people actually want to go on.
