StyleSaint combines online shopping and extensive fashion content in one place. The site is mostly community-driven, with their user base creating stylebooks and tear sheets. The content is then transformed into clothing collections that can be purchased.

Every user can become a member of the fashion editorial team and create content (tear sheets and style books). The site’s lingo requires some explanation: users build tear sheets, or collections of images they save, with a similar layout to Pinterest. Members can put together stunning online magazines, or style books, with their tear sheets. Tear sheets and style books are displayed on the users style feed and portray their unique style to the community. StyleSaint’s team also creates their own online magazine three times a week that cover everything from the latest trends to DIY tutorials. StlyeSaint doesn’t think style should be left exclusively to the Anna Wintour’s and Nina Garcia’s of the world. They are putting style in the hands of the their user base, coined the “Creative Collective”, because they truly believe WE are the influencers, tastemakers, and muse.
Combining Content with CommerceStyleSaint takes fashion inspiration to the next level because they transform the tear sheets and style books into clothing collections. The pieces are influenced by the most popular trends and most loved tear sheets posted by StyleSaint’s community. This business model is ingenious because the members are essentially creating the collection with their style feeds. If users are leaning towards a particular trend, it’s sure to succeed. SaintStyle’s goal is also to keep prices reasonable so good style is affordable for everyone. My one gripe is that I found the layout confusing and keeping the lingo straight was a bit of a challenge, but I have a feeling that dedicated users are able to navigate the website with ease. I should be an expert soon enough; I’ve already bookmarked this incredible fashion site.
