Touch the Bubbles 3 – Is there anything more satisfying than popping bubbles? You can touch the walls but don’t touch the red parts!

Rescue a Chicken – An absolutely charming and captivating physics game about baby chickens. Find out how to manipulate elements in the space to get all the chickens right into the nest!

Async Racing – Race your Facebook friends in Async Racing, rack up experience points, and climb the ladder. Very cool top-down racing game from the excellent game developer Ben Olding.

Air Traffic Chief – Organise the busy skies and guide the planes and helicopters to a safe landing. Keep your cool, don’t let the numbers overwhelm you, and most of all, don’t crash!

Move the Blocks – Create similar images by moving the blocks on the board. Use the least number of moves each time to succeed.

Johnny Deep – Johnny likes diving – and gathering gold! But the briney deep is full of danger, matey – mines, jellyfish, and nasty moist monsters. Do You Have Brave?

Puzzing – You need to match the elements of moving together, so that they disappear at all 15 levels.

Father’s Day – If we were living in the 1950s, where fathers were not as much involved in raising the kids as mothers were, Father’s Day would have been a grossly overrated and needless celebration. Without claiming that all fathers are perfect these days, the maternal/paternal efforts in the nuclear family of the 2000s look much different now than what they used to be six decades ago, generally speaking.

Once you register, you can create a list of different goals and track your progress on a daily and weekly basis. Some of the goals you can choose from include productivity, number of cups of coffee, exercise duration, feeding your pet, even taking your pills. Soluto – I’m so happy Soluto is here. Really. Thanks to their Beta application I’ve cut down my boot time by 87%. Isn’t that great? Turns out, there are tens of applications that boot on my PC when I turn it on, and Soluto helped me decide which ones are important and which ones can be paused or delayed. Currently free to download, Soluto is an attractive platform for increasing your computer’s performance, and it will definitely help both savvy and not-so-knowledgeable PC users. If your computer is starting to lag behind and you are growing frustrated with slow performance, now is the time to salute the sweet Soluto gift. About a week after you have installed the software, be sure to take advantage of the History option to see a visual (and striking) display of performance improvement. Great job, Soluto team!

If It Was My Home – Today it’s enough to mention the word ‘oil’ for everyone to get on the exact same oil spill disaster page. We all agree this is a terrible blight, the long term consequences of which are barely known to us at this moment. The BP oil spill is disastrous to our seas and to the animals that live there, especially the ones we count on eating. Although the world is acknowledging the severity of this ecological blow, nothing puts it in perspective like seeing the size of the oil spill in proportion to your regional area. If It Was My Home does just that, instilling in users all around the world the scale of the oil disaster.

The site uses a fix sized spill stain (representing the spill size in scale) on your local Google Map (simply enter a location in the box and hit ‘Move The Spill’) to show you the vastness of it, compared to areas you are familiar with. See the two screen shots below for an eye-opening realization. The first is in the East coast area of PA, NJ, NY and MA. See how most of NJ and the entire 5-borough city of New York are entirely engulfed by the oil, not to mention parts of PA and MA – that’s a huge area! The second screen shot presents the oil spill in the southern tip of Florida’s mainland. Multiple cities including Miami, Ft. Lauderdale and most of the Everglades National Park are overshadowed by it.

If It Was My Home is an excellent medium to show the greatness of the oil spill disaster, and I’m not using the word ‘great’ in a positive sense. This is a very effective tool for teachers throughout the country. Dear teachers, please share this website with your class students, friends and colleagues.

Angry Chicken – Another winning Weekly Blog, Angry Chicken was the most popular blog in our Weekly Blogs lineup during the week of May 31. Therefore, it was a Weekly Fave last week. So what is Angry Chicken about? Creator Amy Karol shares her original, innovative and totally exciting crafts for the home, the kids and for the kitchen, among other things. She also does a great job in sharing her family’s personal anecdotes which spice the entire blog up. I just love these intimate blogs where the colorful writer also knows how to create interesting content. Amy, thumbs up! Click on the photos below to see a couple of posts I enjoyed reading.

Big Caption – The Boston Globe is a well established newspaper, we all know that. What you might not yet be familiar with is Boston.com’s Big Picture, telling news stories of the world in amazing and compelling photos. And what I’m pretty sure you haven’t seen until now is the Big Caption, a website using the Big Picture’s photos, and adding some great typography and a heavy dose of humor and sarcasm to them. What you end up with is a harsh (yet funny as hell) slander on various global topics and issues. See the pics below to understand the Big Caption twist on reality.

Uniqlo Mixplay – Uniqlo is a Japanese fashion company, offering top quality apparel to men and women. If you are interested in their US website, click here. But this post is not about the Uniqlo fashion, but rather about the Uniqlo music ingenuity. The Mixplay site invites users to mix sounds and enjoy the DJ position for a while. Each sound is represented by a cute dancer, wearing Uniqlo clothes of course, moving in sync with the selected sound. This is really 100% fun, and I give Uniqlo the thumbs up for choosing this original and interactive advertisement platform. Enjoy the mix…

Bug War 2 – Fight to the death with killer bugs by cleverly spreading your spawns to units and towers. Avoid unnecessary attacks and know how to pick your fights using the right bug strategy. This game is the upgraded version of Bug War 1, offering enhanced graphics and more interesting features. Either way, I did poorly on this game and was wiped out in seconds. World Cup 2010 – After four long years, the World Cup in football (or soccer, depends on which side of the Atlantic Ocean you are) is here. The world’s best teams will try to nail that world championship in South Africa, and the early matches have already begun. Who is playing today? Tomorrow? Next week?
