Notey helps you find the best blogs on travel, weddings and over 500,000 topics.
Notey is a blog discovery site that helps you find results based on your specific interests. The site was created after its founders realized there are hundreds of millions of blogs but no good search or discovery tools to help people find them. That’s a problem that’s existed in the noise-cluttered blogosphere for years, and Notey helps solve it by linking people to blogs on thousands of topics. It accomplishes this in a couple ways. You can either search for a topic, blog, or person using Notey’s search tool, or you can explore the many tags of topics that the site offers (which include specific topics like Calligraphy, broad topics like Travel, and everything in between).
Each topic on Notey contains two tabs: “Stories,” and “Best Stories.” The first tab is a running list of all the blogs offering content that relate to that particular theme or topic. The second, of course, consists of the best content that relates to that particular theme or topic. The site is a bit limited in many of the “Best Stories” are several months old (and in the blogosphere, time moves much more quickly than in real life), but it’s still nice to have an option to browse the best blogs of a particular topic. These are all regularly updated, making for a much easier way to access the blogosphere than using Google or having to visit the same blogs day after day. After creating an account on Notey, you can save your favorite topics to your profile. This makes Notey an ideal launching pad to the best blogs (like this one) out of the millions that are out there.
