60-Minute Physics is an course that distills how the world works into 60 bite-size lessons.
The frenetic nature of the Internet has made it difficult to focus on any one particular thing for longer than a few minutes. There is always another social media feed that could distract you, always a shorter video that you could watch. 60-Minute Physics is an online course that plays off our increasingly shortened attention spans by delivering fun, informative video lessons that areĀ each one minute long. The course is taught by Henry Reich, and he manages to pack tons of information into each of the short videos, delivering facts about science and physics in an engaging, easy-to-understand tone and manner.
The course was designed primarily for those unfamiliar with the basic concepts of physics, although any age group could learn from Reich’s lessons. Signing up for the course comes with several benefits, including a community of users that comments on and discusses each video, the ability to download and watch each video offline, and the ability to watch through each video in a dedicated place. Reich’s videos are also available for free via YouTube, but the 60-Minute Physics site offers a centralized place for students to watch and discuss. It also offers the opportunity to donate and support Reich’s mission of spreading a more clear understanding of scientific concepts. Depending on how much you donate, there are resulting benefits like personalized posters or desktop images.
